New DNAdigest team members: Margi and Hamza

We are happy to welcome Margi and Hamza in our team.

Hamza is a Sixth Form student at the Perse School in Cambridge, with an interest in molecular biology and genetics, studying Biology, Chemistry, Double Maths and Philosophy. He is going to be working with DNA Digest over the summer as part of a Nuffield Student Research Placement and will be conducting field interviews and gathering data from genetics clinics and research labs. Welcome on board, Hamza!!!

Margarita, on the other hand, is a second-year biochemistry student at the University of Essex with interests in genetics and biotechnology. She will be working with DNADigest over the summer as a communication assistant, taking care of our weekly newsletter, keeping up-to-date the social media websites as well as launching of our new blog post series on projects that support collaboration and data sharing for genomics.

For this series we will be interviewing and promoting projects and organisations that are making their impact by supporting good practices for data management and efficient sharing and reuse of data for the benefit of research and diagnostics. If you or your organisation would like to participate in this interview series, please get in touch at
