As part of the NHS program to sequence 100,000 genomes by 2017, Illumina has announced that they will be sequencing 10,000 genomes for rare disease patients.

At the recent ASHG conference Ingenuity announced their new offering: The Empowered Genome Community, where individuals can choose to share their genome variants with other Ingenuity users.
